 Outdoor's largest series return to network line-ups
Denver, Colorado--Orion Entertainment's line-up of fall field sports series includes new and returning properties that span the best names and brands in the outdoor genre. "We've enhanced our technical production capabilities as well as staff capacity to grow in this genre and beyond," says Orion President Chris Dorsey. "The result is a continuous improvement process to raise production standards to help brands and networks compete in the ever-changing television and digital landscape."
New and returning series premiering on the NBC Sports Network include:
*Ram Outdoorsman--This new series is hosted by Chris Dorsey and veteran actor/sportsman Gerald McRaney, and is a big adventure series that spans the continent as the most dramatic big game adventures are showcased using a combination of multiple HD cameras, helicams, stop-motion technology, award-winning still photography along with industry-leading 3-D animation.
*Federal Premium's Dangerous Game--Hosted by professional hunter Jeff Rann, this series showcases hunts for the world's deadliest beasts and is the highest rated field sports series in the NBC Sports Network primetime line-up.
*Winchester Legends--Hosted by pioneering sportsman Bob Foulkrod, Winchester Legends celebrates the best of the world's big game hunting from Africa to Alaska and is a top five series in the NBC Sports fall line-up.
*Elk Fever--Join the continent's best elk hunters as they get up close and personal with North America's mountain monarch as dramatic encounters during the famed bugle are the hallmark of this NBC Sports top three series.
*Winchester's Whitetail Revolution--Expert whitetail hunters including Ron Spomer, Bob Foulkrod, David Morris, Steve Stolz, Allen Treadwell, and Melissa Bachman share duties to bring decades of whitetail knowledge and experience to a series that consistently ranks among the highest viewed in the outdoor genre.
*Buck Stops Here--Extreme deer hunting guru Mark Kayser showcases intense and aggressive strategies and action for whitetails and mule deer across the continent. Another of the top rated series in the genre, Kayser brings an undeniable passion for hunting big bucks wherever they live.
*Winchester's World of Whitetail--Host Ron Spomer delves even deeper into the mysteries and strategies for taking the continent's biggest bucks. A unique hunter-naturalist, Spomer uncovers little known life-cycle mysteries of whitetail and showcases how to employ that knowledge for more field success.
*Swarovski Optik Quests--Host Dean Capuano can be found wherever the best of the world's big game hunting is located...from Alaska to Africa, Europe to the South Pacific.
*The Bucks of Tecomate--Host David Morris leads an all-star cast of whitetail experts in search of the continent's biggest bucks. Bringing an unprecedented wealth of knowledge about big deer and managing for trophy whitetail, The Bucks of Tecomate is a perennial NBC Sports fan favorite.
Outdoor Channel series:
*Ford Trucks Takes PBR Outdoors--Hosted by celebrated sportsman and international wildlife artist Steve LeBlanc, this series extends the Professional Bull Riders experience from the arena to the field with the stars of the toughest sport on Earth.
*Tecomate Whitetail Nation--Join David Morris and crew as they delve into what it takes to not just find--but grow--epic bucks by employing the pioneering Tecomate food plot management system.
*ATK's Grateful Nation--Former Army Ranger and host Tim Abell takes wounded warriors on dream outdoor adventures as we witness the healing power of the outdoors to help veterans assimilate back into society.
Sportsman Channel series:
*Ruger's Adventures--hosted by Ruger staffer Ken Jorgensen, this series highlights exciting hunts with the people who have made Ruger great--their team of top staff professionals.
Pursuit Channel series:
*Going Country--hosted by former American Idol finalist Kristy Lee Cook, the series blends her interest in hunting with her passion for country music in travels across North America.
