Elk Fever

About the Series

With heavy character-based story lines, Elk Fever depicts its hunters as elite, unmatched champions of the sport.

As their elk hunting adventures are chronicled through an unexplored landscape, a new, larger-than-life stylized 'in the moment' format will appeal to a multi generational viewership from the top down. The stylized stalking recreations and incorporation of live-action video with animation and vivid 3D graphics will heighten the experience beyond anything you have seen in the hunting genre before.

Dan Whitmus

He is a 3-time World Elk Calling Champion, 9-time State Elk Calling Champion and has several regional championships in elk calling to back him up.

Dan's professional guiding career has given him the opportunity to work with top outfitters around the world from Colorado to New Zealand to the South Pacific.  His true grit and authentic style drives his success.  If it were the last elk hunt on earth, you'd want Dan leading the way.

Tim Abell - Host

Tim's Grandfather gave him his first firearm, an old H&R single barrel 12 gauge, when he was 8 years old. He started off learning firearm safety, weapon maintenance, respect for the weapon, and respect for the game he was about to hunt. He grew up in a semi-rural area of Maryland and was out in the woods before the sun came up.

As an avid young (squirrel) hunter, he hunted for a couple hours in the morning and then was off to school. On the way home, Tim and his buddies would jump ducks on Old Mill pond. It was at that time when he started to learn about, and have a respect for, habitat and conservation. His skills as a woodsman and as a proficient hunter were still lacking, but were soon to be challenged by his Dad's 2nd cousin, (who he called his uncle). Tim's "uncle" was an avid and excellent woodsman, hunter and teacher from whom he would learn to become a skilled outdoorsman and hunter with firearms and with bow & arrow.
